Oronsay picture #1:

Although it's supposed to be a strand at low tide, sometimes Colonsay and Oronsay are separated by water a mile wide and inches deep. In this picture (taken as we started to wade across), it's about four inches deep.

Oronsay picture #2:

The Oronsay Priory sits on a grassy hill near the west side of the Isle of Oronsay. This picture shows the Celtic cross on the right, and three buildings on the left, one of which has a new roof.

Oronsay picture #3:

The Celtic cross on Oronsay overlooks the ruined buildings. The cross has a Madonna and child carved into the top and a pattern of vines carved into the lower part.

Oronsay picture #4:

A doorway inside the ruined Oronsay Priory leads to what I think was a courtyard. Either the doorways are very low or the ground has filled in somewhat (or both). This doorway is about four and a half feet high.
